Limited Edition Vespers Ornament 2007 Available Now!

Millikin University's student-run art gallery, The Blue Connection, presents the limited edition Vespers Ornament for 2007.

This traditional, etched glass ornament with a sparkling ribbon hanger showcases this year's Millikin Vespers Concert theme: Your Light Has Come.

Stephanie Pezzelle, a current Millikin student designed this year’s Vespers Ornament.  It was then produced at the Glass House in Decatur, which is owned and operated by Steve Trebasz, a Millikin Alum.  This beautifully etched glass ornament is a wonderful keepsake to be enjoyed year after year.  Thank you for supporting Blue Connection during this holiday season.

Stephanie Pezzelle, the artist of the 2007 Limited Edition Vesper’s Ornament, is a Graphic Design major at Millikin University.  When designing this ornament, Stephanie focused on the theme and candles to bring forth the warmth of the holidays.  Stephanie, along with all of us at the Blue Connection, hope this ornament finds its way into your homes and hearts for years to come.

The 2007 Vespers Ornament is easy to ship.  It comes packaged in a handsome draw-string Millikin-blue velvet bag with an accompanying clear-top gift box.  At just $15, this limited edition Vespers Ornament won't be available long!

Vespers at Millikin
Written by Webmaster

2005 Millikin Vespers Concert CDThe holiday season is characterized by traditions. From leaving cookies for Santa to caroling to lighting the menorah, everyone has their own special way to celebrate the season. At Millikin University, Decatur, Illinois, the start of the holiday season is marked by the university’s gift to the community, the traditional Vespers Concert, which is now celebrating its 45th year.

Vespers, which means "evening prayers," is performed each year by more than 300 vocalists and instrumentalists and has become one of Millikin’s most beloved traditions. This year’s four performances will be held Dec. 2 and 3 (two performances per day: 3:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m.), and sell-out crowds are again expected.
