Enjoy four years of Millikin Vespers Ornaments
Millikin Blue Connection is proud to offer the Collector's Set of Vespers Ornaments with four popular glass ornaments from 2007, 2006, 2005, and 2004.

Vespers Ornament Collector's Set

Stephanie Pezzelle, a current Millikin student designedthe 2007 Vespers Ornament (shown directly below left).  It was then produced at the Glass House in Decatur, which is owned and operated by Steve Trebasz, a Millikin Alum.  This beautifully etched glass ornament is a wonderful keepsake to be enjoyed year after year.  Thank you for supporting Blue Connection during this holiday season.

Millikin Vespers Ornament 2006The 2006 Limited Edition Vespers Ornament (right) is a handsome traditional, etched glass design suspended by a glittering gold ribbon. The ornament showcases this year's theme: Tidings of Great Joy. This stunning piece of artwork was designed by current Millikin student James Butts, and is packaged in a lovely blue velvet drawstring pouch with a gift box.  Available while supplies last for only $15.

2005 Millikin Vespers OrnamentThe 2005 Vespers Ornament (directly left) depicts a winsome angel in glass surrounded by a spiral glass border which twinkles gaily in holiday lights. This beautifull etched glass ornament was produced for us by The Glass House and designed by Aidan Parrish.  Aidan explains, "To convey the supreme presence of angels, I chose very soft, smooth, sweeping lines to unify a design of repetitious, earthly shapes. The use of line and subject matter, the human figure, are common themes present in most of my work." As a Millikin Art Major she not only designed the Ornament, but she has exhibited in the Blue Connection Gallery in downtown Decatur, Illinois.

2004 Millikin Vespers OrnamentThe 2004 Vespers Ornament (right) is an etched crystal design depicting a candle, musical note and staff, set off by a bright red ribbon. Designed by Kyle Nelson, a Millikin student in the Art of Entrepreneurship class, the design is frosted on a beveled crystal ornament and beautifully wrapped in a red velvet bag. The ornaments were produced by The Glass House in Decatur, Illinois, which is owned and operated by Steve Trebacz, a Millikin University Alum.             .

String several together for a stunning and original look as a group.

You can purchase this year's Vespers Ornament for only $15 at Millikin Blue Connection Gallery.   You will also find the previous years' ornaments at the discounted prices of $10 for the 2006 ornament, the 2005 and 2004 ornaments.  Thank you in advance for supporting Millikin Blue Connection -- a student-run retail art gallery online and in downtown Decatur, featuring the work of Millikin University students, faculty, staff and alumni.
